INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Energetics Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU. Position Duties/Responsibilities You will plan, direct and control requisitioning, recording and distribution of expendable ordnance; space control/utilization and physical inventory; and maintain and improve automated inventory recording systems, reports and files. You will develop plans and guidelines for junior level employees relating to such matters as program goals, individual performance standards and quality checks to meet the Branch's goals and objectives You will ensure that the management of all ammunition assets are correct, efficient, and responsive to customer/fleet requirements. You will define policy and procedures governing the receipt, storage and distribution of non-standard ordnance, including foreign, commercial and contractor owned. You will analyze policy directives and highly technical correspondence promulgated by higher authority to determine local impact and/or application to expendable ordnance programs.
