Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist Pay Rate: $32/Hr Duration: 12 months Location: Remote (Initial 4- 6 weeks of training in Cary and then remote; reside in the Raleigh- Durham area for in-person orientation and equipment pickup) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM This position is for the Power/Energy division. We are looking for an Inventory Management Specialist This position provides inventory support services over the phone and online for all CSEs and other partners . Support Customer Administration with the following: Resolution of service report errors. Reversals for incorrect billings. Serial number error escalations as related to the installed base. Support Memphis Returns with the following: Resolve return processing errors/issues. Proactively identify areas of improvement with the end goal of reduced errors. Research and follow up with CSML for missing parts in Memphis. Physical Inventory. Coordinate and schedule with Field Management. Execute physical inventory activities with Field in a timely manner. Reconciliation of inventory between SAP , CSE, and Calibration with minimal variance. Work closely with and follow up with CSEs and Management for escalations and material recounts. Follow up on any transactions that were in error for CSE during the physical inventory count. Error handling as it relates to inventory management. PO posting errors. Tool order failures. Reports and analysis as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; or a High School Diploma/GED with 5–8 years of relevant experience. Technical Skills: SAP (highly preferred), Microsoft Office. 5-8 years of successful experience in the area of responsibility, with demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform the key responsibilities listed above. Problem-solving ( inventory issues , workflow challenges). SAP familiarity. Excel skills (basic lookups ). Strong organizational skills and ability to handle varied tasks daily. Good phone skills for working with engineers and employees to resolve issues. Managing inventory in service engineers’ stock. Detail-oriented (to meet standards for accounting process audits). Self-motivated and productive in a remote environment. Flexibility/adaptability (workflow changes daily). Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Decision-making abilities. Additional Notes Weekly team huddle (remote). Initial in-office orientation for equipment and training. Holiday PTO may delay immediate feedback; suppliers should keep candidates engaged. This position will be responsible for managing consignment, trunk stock, and tool inventory for the CX Field organization. This position will assist the Field with their spare parts and tool & test inventories and provide reporting and analysis as it pertains to inventory management. This position will also be responsible for preparing and performing physical inventory activities annually as per accounting guidelines. Key interactions for this position would be with Customer Administration, Memphis Returns, Regional Service Managers, Customer Service Engineers, CSML, 3rd party Logistics provider (DHL), Finance, calibration provider (SIMCO), the Customer Care Center, and the Tool Center staff.
