Coordinate with IT service owners, property custodians, procurement personnel, finance offices, program managers, and other stakeholders... ...to ensure IT assets are accurately recorded, assigned, safeguarded, and available to support mission requirements. Interpret, formulate, and enforce local property-management policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and internal controls in accordance with applicable federal regulations, agency directives, and financial audit standards. Develop and provide property-accountability guidance, training, job aids, and corrective-action plans for hand receipt holders, custodians, end users, supervisors, and management officials. Administer and utilize automated property-accounting systems and enterprise databases, such as EBS and ServiceNow, to maintain asset records, conduct periodic physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies, and support audit readiness. Analyze asset data to identify trends, control weaknesses, excess holdings, and recurring discrepancies; prepare inventory certifications, management reports, audit-support documentation, and recommendations for process improvement. Direct property retirement, sanitization, de-installation, reutilization, transfer, donation, and destruction/disposal procedures in accordance with environmental, security, and surplus-property guidelines. Research, document, and coordinate resolution of lost, stolen, damaged, excess, or otherwise unaccounted-for IT assets; identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution through closure.
