Description

At Roto, the Inventory & Logistics Manager supports the Production Department by sourcing, procuring, receiving, and managing materials, equipment, and services for fabrication and exhibit installation. Also coordinates facility and building-maintenance needs to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
 

Essential Functions

  • Source, procure, receive, and inventory AV, electromechanical, and fabrication materials
  • Manage Purchase Orders, vendor research, competitive quoting, and open/back-order follow-up
  • Maintain min/max inventory levels; track and allocate releases for accurate project costing
  • Develop and expand supplier networks; negotiate pricing, terms, and freight agreements
  • Coordinate all freight logistics including full gallery shipments, small-package operations, and exhibit wrapping/crating
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing approval and financial sign-off procedures
  • Identify process inefficiencies and lead workflow improvements to support production scalability
  • Source and manage contractors for facility and building-maintenance needs
  • Communicate order status regularly with project and production teams
  • Manage Return-to-Vendor (RTV) processes

 



Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, materials coordination, or inventory control within a fabrication, manufacturing, or production environment
  • Forklift certification or demonstrated proficiency; ability to safely move and manage heavy materials
  • Working knowledge of AV equipment, electronics, and physical fabrication materials including wood, metal, plastics, and hardware
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with purchasing or accounting platforms such as QuickBooks or similar ERP systems
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities without dropping details
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, service-oriented approach
  • Self-starter mindset — comfortable working independently and driving tasks to completion without close supervision

 

Preferred

  • Experience in exhibition design-build, themed entertainment, scenic fabrication, or a closely related industry
  • Familiarity with AV or electromechanical component sourcing and supply chains
  • Experience coordinating complex freight logistics including crated exhibit shipments
  • Background in process improvement or workflow development within a production or operations context
