Inventory Lead — DMSI Location: North Venice, FL Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday Reports to: Logistics Manager DMSI, a fiber optic connectivity manufacturer, is seeking an organized, dependable Inventory Lead to oversee inventory activities and lead our inventory team. This position helps keep materials accurate, organized, and available to support production. We are looking for someone with strong computer skills, critical thinking abilities, the ability to learn quickly, and leadership skills . What You’ll Do Lead the inventory team, communicate priorities, and help ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. Maintain proper storage and organization of materials, supplies, and finished products. Keep the online inventory system current by entering and updating inventory counts. Review inventory discrepancies, investigate possible causes, and communicate issues to the appropriate supervisor. Prepare inventory reports and spreadsheets. Move materials and finished products to designated locations. Ensure products and packages have the correct labels and tags. Assist with product assembly and packaging as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow company procedures and report material or equipment concerns. What We’re Looking For Computer skills: Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory software to enter information, maintain records, and prepare reports. Critical thinking: Able to evaluate information, identify discrepancies, solve problems, and make sound decisions. Quick learner: Able to learn new software, products, procedures, and inventory processes quickly and apply that knowledge accurately. Leadership: Able to provide clear direction, support and train team members, set a positive example, and hold the team accountable. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Basic math skills and confidence working with inventory counts and data. Ability to follow directions accurately and work effectively with other departments. Previous inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, or team leadership experience preferred. Physical Requirements The role involves standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling materials, including frequently lifting items weighing less than 10 pounds.
