Inventory Intake Specialist (Auto Parts & Electronics) Pay: $25/hour Schedule: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM About us Gizmos & Co. is a growing online reseller of auto parts and electronics, selling on eBay. What you'll do Identify parts by reading brand names and part numbers off the part or its packaging, and tell the real part number apart from supplier stickers Research unmarked parts by shape and size using online tools Take accurate measurements, including length, width, bore, and thread pitch Count quantities carefully and record lot sizes Grade condition honestly (new, open box, used, or for parts), and note any missing hardware or accessories Take clean product photos Shelve items and record their storage locations Enter everything accurately in our intake app, and fix any flagged items quickly What we're looking for Strong attention to detail. One wrong digit in a part number matters. Comfortable using a tape measure and calipers Basic computer and smartphone skills Able to lift moderate weight and be on your feet Auto parts or eBay experience is a plus but not required. We'll train you. Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week Application Question(s): You're handed an unboxed auto part with a stamped number on it and a supplier sticker with a different number. How would you figure out the real part number, and what else would you check and record (measurements, quantity, condition, what's missing) before it's listed? Are you comfortable reading small part numbers, taking precise measurements with a tape or calipers, and entering data carefully for several hours a day? This job is in a converted house, and some of the basement storage areas are tight and have low ceilings. Are you comfortable working in cramped spaces, including bending, crouching, and carrying parts up and down stairs? (Yes/No) Work Location: In person
