The Inventory Distributor is there to ensure on-time delivery of required product to each department in production. They collect Kanban requests and maintain accurate stock counts. The role involved problem solving initiatives and requires strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, customer service attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Management:
    • Collect Kanban requests & pull required items from stock room.
    • Deliver materials to all departments.
    • Maintain accurate daily stock levels in purchasing software.
  • Aid in identifying processes that are inefficient and work with people affected to develop improved processes.
  • Ensure safety for self and others.
  • Provide a friendly, customer focused environment.
  • Assist in putting deliveries away when able.
  • Innovation: bringing value through new, creative, diverse ideas.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal skills: friendly and approachable for internal customers, ability to listen well, answer questions, and forward concerns to Supervisor and/or appropriate personnel.
  • Analytical and problem solving
  • Ability to organize tasks.
  • Computer skills (Insight, Microsoft).
  • Detailed and accurate
  • Independent – ability to work alone.
  • Physical Ability: able to lift and handle product weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with numbers
  • Innovative: bringing value through new, creative, diverse ideas.
  • Customer service experience would be an asset.
