Inventory Cycle Count Coordinator

Position Summary The Inventory Cycle Count Coordinator at Charleston Shoe Company is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through consistent cycle counting, inventory verification, and discrepancy research. This position works closely with the Warehouse Manager and warehouse team to identify inventory variances, investigate potential causes, and help ensure inventory accuracy across the distribution center. This is a hands-on position requiring strong attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with the warehouse team. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform scheduled daily and weekly cycle counts throughout the warehouse. Accurately count and verify footwear, apparel, accessories, and other inventory. Compare physical inventory counts to system inventory and identify discrepancies. Research inventory variances and assist in determining the cause of discrepancies. Recount and validate inventory as necessary before adjustments are made. Work with the Warehouse Manager to correct confirmed inventory discrepancies. Identify recurring inventory issues, including incorrect locations, receiving errors, picking errors, transfers, or other inventory movement issues. Maintain accurate records of cycle counts, discrepancies, corrections, and follow-up activity. Assist with preparation for physical inventories and larger inventory counts. Verify inventory locations and help ensure product is stored in the correct warehouse location. Communicate inventory issues to warehouse leadership in a timely manner. Assist with inventory audits and special inventory projects as needed. Assist with replenishment of product to pick face bins. Follow established inventory control procedures and recommend improvements when recurring issues are identified. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Assist with other warehouse and inventory-related responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Previous warehouse, inventory control, cycle counting, receiving, or related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Comfortable working with inventory management or warehouse management systems. Ability to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolution. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with warehouse leadership and team members. Dependable and consistent attendance in your work history. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the warehouse. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive inventory counting activities. Ability to safely lift and move cartons and merchandise as required. Ability to use ladders or step stools when necessary to access inventory locations. Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying degrees of heat or cold based on weather conditions. Key Measures of Success Success in this position will be measured by inventory accuracy, timely completion of scheduled cycle counts, thorough investigation of discrepancies, accurate documentation, and the ability to identify recurring inventory issues that may require process improvements.
