Inventory Coordinator Who you are: You have an exceptional attention to detail and take pride in making sure things are done correctly. You are equally comfortable working on a computer and being hands-on in a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment. You understand that even small inventory errors can create significant operational problems, and you take ownership of getting the details right. The opportunity: Bear Stewart is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records across our manufacturing and warehouse operations. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that all inventory movements are accurately and promptly recorded in our ERP system, organizing and executing regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and helping maintain an organized and efficient inventory management process. This is a hands-on position that requires frequent movement between the warehouse, production floor, and computer workstation. Success in this role means that our ERP inventory records consistently match our physical inventory. Who we are : We are a fast growing sweet bakery ingredients manufacturer. What you will do: Inventory Accuracy & ERP Management Accurately record inventory receipts, transfers, adjustments, production consumption, and other inventory movements in our ERP system (Sage 300). Ensure inventory transactions are entered completely, correctly, and on a timely basis. Reconcile physical inventory movements with ERP records and investigate discrepancies. Verify that raw materials, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods are accurately reflected in the system. Identify and correct inventory transaction errors in coordination with the Supply Chain Director. Maintain accurate inventory locations, quantities, and units of measure. Cycle Counting & Inventory Control Develop and maintain a regular cycle counting schedule covering all inventory categories and warehouse locations. Perform physical inventory counts and coordinate counting activities with warehouse and production personnel. Investigate count variances, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring discrepancies. Assist with month-end and year-end physical inventory counts and reconciliations. Monitor inventory accuracy and report recurring issues or trends to the Supply Chain Director. Warehouse & Production Coordination Work closely with warehouse, production, and supply chain personnel to ensure inventory movements are properly documented. Verify that materials issued to production and finished goods returned to inventory are accurately recorded. Help maintain organized, clearly identified inventory storage locations. Support proper stock rotation and FIFO inventory practices. Identify misplaced, damaged, obsolete, or otherwise questionable inventory and escalate issues appropriately. Assist with physically locating, moving, counting, and verifying inventory as needed. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve inventory accuracy, transaction discipline, and warehouse organization. Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures for inventory movements and cycle counting. Work with the Supply Chain Director to reduce inventory discrepancies and strengthen internal controls. Support other supply chain and warehouse activities as needed.
