Inventory Controller/Warehouse

Ansett Aircraft Spares & Services (AASS) Location: Sylmar, CA 91342 Job Type: Full-time, in person Schedule: Eight-hour shifts, with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Position Summary Ansett Aircraft Spares & Services (AASS) is seeking an Inventory Controller to support our shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and shipping aircraft parts while maintaining accurate inventory records and following company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive, unload, unpack, and inspect incoming aircraft parts. Verify shipments against purchase orders and review accompanying documentation, including applicable FAA-approved certificates. Accurately record part identification, quantities, weights, and other required information in the computerized inventory system. Label, organize, and store aircraft parts, maintaining inventory security and accountability. Retrieve parts using pick tickets, assemble customer orders, and package and process outbound shipments accurately and on time. Follow applicable hazardous materials requirements for receiving, storage, handling, and shipping, and complete required training. Resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies with vendors and internal personnel. Support receiving and shipping of Aircraft on Ground (AOG) parts outside regular business hours as needed. Follow company safety procedures and departmental standards. Maintain regular, punctual attendance and an insurable driving record. Perform other warehouse duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Computer proficiency (Windows, Word, Excel, Email, Internet). Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and problem solving skills, with attention to detail. Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, procedure manuals, and written, verbal, or diagram based instructions. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence and perform basic calculations involving quantities, weights, and proportions. Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record. Ability to lift and move items weighing more than 50 pounds, with assistance or appropriate equipment as needed. Availability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of warehouse experience, particularly in shipping, receiving, or inventory control. Relevant college or technical school training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience or knowledge of the aircraft parts industry and FAA documentation. Forklift certification. Hazardous materials or Dangerous Goods training and experience. Candidates with less experience who demonstrate a willingness to learn and meet the required qualifications will also be considered.
