Overview The Inventory Control Supervisor at UNIS is a pivotal operational and analytical role responsible for protecting inventory integrity across divisions and enabling data-driven decisions in a complex, technology-enabled logistics network. This position sits at the intersection of warehouse operations, supply chain planning, and systems management, ensuring that inventory data is accurate, timely, and actionable for internal stakeholders and clients. By designing and supervising standardized inventory control procedures, this role directly supports service reliability, cost optimization, and the effectiveness of UNIS’s AI-enabled Transportation Management System. The Inventory Control Supervisor leads a team executing daily control activities, partners closely with Inventory Controllers, warehouse leadership, and cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, IT, Finance), and translates inventory performance insights into process improvements and automation opportunities that scale with the business. Responsibilities 1. Lead and oversee day-to-day inventory control operations to ensure accurate recording, tracking, and reconciliation of inventory levels across all divisions, in alignment with established policies, service standards, and client requirements. 2. Coordinate and assist with the planning and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and physical inventory counts with the Inventory Controller and warehouse teams, investigating and resolving variances to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy. 3. Monitor, audit, and troubleshoot inventory within the inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), including electronic discrepancies, system errors, and data integrity issues, escalating and collaborating with IT or system vendors as needed. 4. Design, refine, and document standardized inventory control procedures with a strong emphasis on automation and best practices (Lean, JIT, etc.), ensuring that processes remain responsive to business changes, volume fluctuations, and client demands. 5. Analyze inventory data using tools such as Excel, SQL, and/or data visualization software to produce clear reports and insights for Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance, proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to balance inventory across divisions and optimize inventory capabilities. Minimum Requirements: 1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required, demonstrating foundational literacy and numeracy skills necessary for accurate data handling and documentation. 2. Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in a supply chain, logistics, or warehouse environment, with direct involvement in inventory control, materials management, or related operational processes. 3. Proven proficiency with inventory management software or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms), including experience in data entry, querying, and basic system troubleshooting. 4. Practical ability to analyze operational and inventory data using tools such as Microsoft Excel (including functions, pivot tables, and basic data analysis) and a demonstrated comfort with working in data-driven environments. 5. Solid understanding of core supply chain and warehouse processes, including inventory flows, stock movement, receiving, shipping, and methodologies such as Just-In-Time (JIT), sufficient to interpret inventory behavior and operational impacts. Preferred Requirements: 1. Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, providing additional conceptual depth in operations and process improvement. 2.
