We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Supervisor to oversee inventory accuracy, organization, and control within our Los Angeles warehouse. This role is responsible for ensuring inventory systems are reliable, stock levels are optimized, and operational processes support efficient order fulfillment. The Inventory Control Supervisor partners closely with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams to maintain seamless inventory flow and data integrity. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management and Accuracy Maintain accurate inventory records, including product quantities, locations, and movements Perform cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies Reconcile system data with physical counts and ensure timely updates Monitor and manage shrinkage, product dump, and inventory variance thresholds Order and Cost Control Oversee allocation of sales orders and ensure inventory availability Ensure open purchase orders are reviewed and closed appropriately Maintain accurate landed cost data to support financial reporting Stock Replenishment and Organization Partner with purchasing to monitor inventory levels and reorder points Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all products Enforce stock rotation practices to minimize waste and obsolescence Reporting and Audits Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including variance and stock status reports Support internal and external audits by ensuring compliance with inventory procedures Collaborate with accounting and finance teams on inventory-related matters Inventory Maintenance Identify and resolve issues related to damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory Oversee item code creation, maintenance, and cleanup Flag slow-moving inventory for discounting or promotional efforts Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with warehouse, sales, and purchasing teams to ensure operational alignment Communicate inventory issues and drive timely resolution Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs Qualifications Required: 1+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or related experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Experience with inventory management systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically active environment Preferred: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bilingual in English and Spanish Experience with FreshByte or similar inventory software Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work in warehouse, office, and refrigerated environments Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions Ability to work in refrigerated environment for extended periods of time Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Ability to work on uneven surfaces and climb stairs as needed Why Join Us Opportunity to play a key role in warehouse operations and inventory accuracy Collaborative, team-oriented environment Growth potential within a stable and expanding organization Mellano & Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
