Inventory Control Specialist - Store auditor

Store Auditor - American Jewelry and Loan About Us American Jewelry and Loan is a family-run pawn and jewelry business with deep roots in Metro Detroit. We run five stores: Detroit, Pontiac, Hazel Park, Southgate, and Lincoln Park. We’re an established business that is growing and looking to add stores , so this is a chance to get in on the ground floor of that growth. The Role We’re looking for a detail-oriented Store Auditor to help keep all of our stores accurate, compliant, and running well. This is a company-level position that reports directly to ownership and plays a key role in protecting the business as it grows. You’ll be based at our Detroit hub, with limited travel to our other Metro Detroit locations. You’ll check inventory, cash, and paperwork across all stores, and you’ll help keep our technology running. No pawn experience required. We’ll teach you the business. What You’ll Do Run scheduled and surprise audits of inventory, cash drawers, and loan/buy records at all locations Check that transactions follow company policy and Michigan pawn regulations Find discrepancies, document them, and report findings directly to management and ownership Work with store managers to fix issues and improve procedures Set up, configure, and troubleshoot store IT equipment: computers, printers, scanners, cameras, POS hardware, and network devices Help set up equipment and systems as we open new locations Keep clear, organized audit reports What We’re Looking For Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity Discretion and good judgment when handling sensitive information Hands-on comfort with IT equipment.
