Inventory Control Specialist

Terrasmart is now a division of Unirac, bringing together two established leaders in solar mounting solutions. Position Summary Performs inventory control activities to support our business. Establishes a strong understanding of all activities related to the flow of inventory and job specific materials. Performs cycle counts and develops a reporting system to maintain and ensure accurate inventory of the materials, inspects inventory and job specific materials as they arrive and process accordingly. Plays a significant role in problem solving to determine root cause and corrective actions for any inventory issues. Provides direction to team members who handle inventory parts and job-specific materials. Primary Duties Manage inventory workflow, accuracy, and timeliness of incoming, outgoing, and job-specific materials to support production demands and shifting operational priorities. Spend significant time on the production floor receiving, inspecting, issuing, and coordinating materials while ensuring alignment between physical inventory and electronic records. Administer cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and maintain accurate inventory reporting and documentation. Maintain coil traceability and raw material tracking to ensure accurate linkage between raw materials and finished products. Oversee the disposition of returned production materials and obsolete inventory, ensuring proper storage and organization of plant materials. Train inventory support personnel, including Pick and Pack Clerks and coil drivers, and develop or update training materials and processes as needed. Collaborate with Shipping, Production, vendors, and cross-functional teams to coordinate material availability, purchasing needs, and operational priorities. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities while maintaining a safe, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration Requirements Associates or 2-year degree 2+ years in an Inventory position Able to lift up to 65 pounds, able to stand, stoop and bend for lengthy periods of time in a warehouse environment.
