Inventory Control Material Handler New Berlin, Wisconsin | Full-time / Part-time | On-site A manufacturing organisation is seeking Inventory Control Material Handlers to support production operations by moving materials efficiently and maintaining accurate inventory across the production floor. The role involves operating material-handling equipment, servicing production machines and ensuring materials are available when needed to minimise production downtime. Key Responsibilities Move products and skids throughout the facility using hand jacks, powered Raymond/Big Joe lifts and forklifts. Supply production and finishing machines with the materials required to maintain workflow. Maintain accurate inventory using onboard computer systems and RF barcode technology. Load and unload finished products and materials from semi-trailers and automated wrapping equipment. Operate powered industrial vehicles ( PIVs ) safely; training is provided. Follow all quality, safety and operational procedures. Perform routine housekeeping and maintain a clean and organised work area. Communicate effectively with team members and production personnel. Monitor material requirements and prioritise tasks to minimise production downtime. Use touchscreen equipment and automated systems as required. Handle and transfer product stacks, bundles and materials between pallets, conveyors, work surfaces and production equipment. Troubleshoot basic equipment and material-handling issues and escalate problems when required. Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older . Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required — training will be provided . Warehouse, printing, finishing/bindery or manufacturing experience preferred. Strong computer skills and comfort working with technology. Interest in working with automation in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions. Good basic mathematics and ability to read and record measurements. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks. Safety-focused approach to working in a production environment. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist movements. Ability to lift materials weighing approximately 30–60 lbs as required. Ability to handle and transfer bundles and materials weighing approximately 5–75 lbs , depending on the task. Shift Information Full-time 12-hour shifts. 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Day/night shift assignment switches approximately every 4 months . Part-time 12-hour shifts preferred. 6- and 8-hour shifts may also be accommodated.
