Inventory Control Specialist

Windigo Logistics is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse operations team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, identifying discrepancies, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory management systems, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records through daily tracking, audits, cycle counts, and adjustments. Review and analyze inventory reports to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize inventory control systems, including barcode scanning and RFID technology. Collaborate with vendors, purchasing teams, and warehouse personnel to maintain inventory accuracy. Perform inventory and financial analysis to minimize waste and improve operational efficiency. Use inventory management software and reporting tools to monitor stock levels and inventory movement. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in coordination with internal departments. Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, as needed and when properly authorized. Support warehouse operations by ensuring inventory is properly accounted for and organized. Perform additional duties as assigned by management. Required Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience working in a warehouse or inventory control environment. Experience using computerized inventory management systems required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in data entry, keyboarding, and basic computer applications. Basic math skills and the ability to analyze inventory data. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members. Professional attitude and ability to communicate with vendors and internal departments. Forklift operator certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk frequently throughout the shift on concrete warehouse floors. Ability to work in cold storage environments. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and retrieve inventory from various warehouse levels. Ability to perform physical warehouse duties throughout the scheduled shift.
