Daylight FoodsPosition: Inventory Control Specialist Job type: Full Time Location: 30200 Whipple Rd Union City, CA 94587 SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for maintaining the accurate count of inventory in the warehouse and in the system. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage excess inventory process for assigned commodities. Manage poor quality inventory process for assigned commodities. Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock Maintains product inventory: ensure items in Thyme software accurately reflect physical quantities in the warehouse. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES: Ability to manage the pressure associated with deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Demonstrates skill in making independent decisions in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner Ability to solve practical and analytical problems. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Must have a minimum of 2 years' warehouse experience. Must have a background in the produce industry. Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel. Prefer bilingual in English/Spanish. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. . PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and or move 50 pounds or more regularly.
