Inventory Control / Shipping Clerk Location: Bloomfield, CT, transitioning to Suffield, CT Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite 5 Days per Week First Search is partnering with LiquidPiston to hire an Inventory Control / Shipping Clerk to support its growing operations team. LiquidPiston is an innovative engineering company developing next-generation compact, high-performance rotary engines. As the company continues to grow and commercialize its technology, we’re looking for someone who can help keep inventory accurate, materials organized, and incoming and outgoing shipments moving efficiently. This is a hands-on position for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with inventory systems, and enjoys being part of a fast-moving manufacturing and engineering environment. Responsibilities: Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/MRP systems and Excel Process daily inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits Investigate inventory discrepancies and help determine root causes Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting Prepare and process shipments to customers and suppliers Receive inventory and materials used for engine builds Verify incoming material quantities and process associated documentation Label, organize, and maintain inventory and storage locations Support warehouse organization and material identification Provide accurate inventory information to purchasing and materials teams Communicate inventory shortages, discrepancies, and other concerns to purchasing, production, and management Help ensure materials are accurately tracked and available when needed Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, purchasing, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic understanding of inventory control processes and principles Experience with ERP/MRP systems preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills Ability to perform basic data analysis and reporting Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Comfortable working in a hands-on engineering and manufacturing environment
