Inventory Control Supervisor | Boston, MA Nashua Zip Code 03063 Blue Harlan is the recruitment partner to a leading national distributor seeking an Inventory Control Supervisor to join its Boston distribution center. This is a critical leadership role responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, driving cycle count programs, overseeing inventory control activities, and leading a team dedicated to ensuring operational excellence across the warehouse. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead all inventory control activities to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity across the distribution center. Develop and manage cycle count schedules to meet accounting, audit, and operational requirements. Oversee annual physical inventory processes and reporting. Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy. Monitor inventory exceptions, shortages, damaged goods, and transitional inventory. Research and resolve purchase order and receiving discrepancies. Analyze inventory reports and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement. Maintain accurate inventory records within the warehouse management system. Collaborate with operations, accounting, and leadership teams to communicate inventory performance and results. Supervise and coach Inventory Control team members/Cycle Counters to achieve operational goals. Support warehouse safety initiatives and maintain forklift certification as needed. KEY REQUIREMENTS Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, distribution, or supply chain environments. Prior experience leading or supervising inventory teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate root causes and implement solutions. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, or ERP platforms. Comfortable working with inventory reports, cycle counts, audits, and data reconciliation. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
