Inventory Control Specialist
Stratton SalesJob Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our supply chain and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory levels, optimizing stock accuracy, and ensuring seamless flow of materials throughout the supply chain. Your expertise will help improve our company efficiency, support procurement activities, and enhance overall inventory control. Core Responsibilities Inventory & Stock Management: Oversee and optimize all physical inventory procedures, storage systems, and stock tracking protocols to maintain precise stock counts. Purchasing & Vendor Relations: Actively manage stock replenishment levels, place purchase orders with manufacturing partners, and negotiate timelines to prevent stockouts. Customer Parts Assistance: Deliver direct customer service by using equipment manuals, schematics, and technical knowledge to help clients precisely identify and buy the correct replacement parts. Shipping & Receiving Fulfillment: Cross-reference incoming shipments against purchase invoices, check for damages, organize components structurally, and arrange regional parts shipments. Service Tech Support: Partner seamlessly with our field service technicians to verify that they have access to the components required for upcoming equipment repair jobs. Qualifications & Requirements Experience: 2+ years of experience in parts counter sales, commercial industrial inventory control, purchasing, or a similar mechanical supply environment. Technical Savvy: High proficiency using inventory software platforms, digital parts databases, or ERP tracking frameworks. Ability to confidently interpret basic technical diagrams and spec sheets is highly preferred. Customer Service Focus: Strong communication skills with an analytical, solution-oriented approach to solving mechanical parts inquiries. Physical Demands: Comfort standing for long stretches, lifting industrial parts up to 50 lbs, and executing hands-on warehouse organization tasks daily.
