We are currently searching for experienced candidates for the following position in our Cleveland, Ohio facility Inventory Control Specialist Position Summary The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the timely availability and movement of raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility. This position works closely with Production, Assembly dept, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and other operational teams to maintain inventory accuracy, identify shortages, resolve discrepancies, and ensure materials are available to support production and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in both an office and manufacturing environment, and capable of identifying and correcting inventory issues before they impact production or customer delivery. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate inventory records within the company’s ERP/inventory management system. All inventory must be stored and kept in clean, secure pallets, removing any broken or unsafe pallets Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, supplies, work-in-process, and finished goods to identify shortages or replenishment requirements. Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory counts , investigate discrepancies, and process approved inventory adjustments. Review receiving, shipping, material movement, and production transactions to ensure inventory is recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Coordinate with Purchasing and Production to identify material shortages that could impact manufacturing schedules or customer commitments. Verify incoming materials and inventory for proper quantities, identification, documentation, and storage location. Maintain proper inventory locations, labeling, organization, and material identification throughout the facility. Assist with staging and movement of materials to appropriate production areas based on manufacturing schedules and workflow requirements. Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, excess, or damaged inventory and communicate concerns to management. Prepare inventory reports identifying stock levels, shortages, discrepancies, adjustments, usage, and other key inventory metrics. Investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis to identify transaction, receiving, shipping, production, or material-handling issues. Work with employees and supervisors to improve inventory-control procedures and ensure established processes are consistently followed. Support Shipping & Receiving activities as necessary to maintain accurate material flow and inventory transactions. Assist in developing and improving inventory-control processes that increase accuracy, efficiency, material traceability, and accountability. Perform other related duties necessary to support production, inventory accuracy, and customer requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or additional education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred. 4+ years of inventory control, material handling, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing inventory experience. Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is required . Experience using an ERP/MRP or inventory management system. Operate a lift truck to safely move and store parts and inventory Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills. Ability to analyze inventory data and identify discrepancies.
