Job Description Position Summary The Inventory Control Intern supports manufacturing and inventory management operations by conducting physical inventory counts, maintaining accurate inventory records in SAP, weighing components and finished goods for shipment, and ensuring critical inventory and shipping data is accurately recorded and maintained. This role provides hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, inventory control, ERP systems, and supply chain processes within a hydraulic hose equipment manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Conduct routine physical inventory counts of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. Verify inventory quantities and investigate discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Enter and update inventory information in SAP accurately and in a timely manner. Assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory activities. Weigh designated parts, assemblies, and materials for shipment preparation. Record weight and shipment-related data in centralized databases. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to inventory and shipping activities. Support inventory accuracy initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Organize inventory storage areas and help ensure proper material identification and labeling. Collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping personnel to resolve inventory issues. Follow all safety procedures and Company policies. Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Production Manager. Qualifications Required Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform repetitive counting and data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with employees across departments. Preferred Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or inventory environment. Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems. Familiarity with inventory control principles and shipping processes. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout the manufacturing facility for extended periods. Ability to lift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to use scales, measuring equipment, and inventory counting tools. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
