Inventory Control Helper

Position Summary Cruz Cargo Express is seeking a reliable Inventory Control Helper to support everyday inventory activities and help keep stock information organized and up to date. This role involves checking incoming items, updating inventory records, organizing storage areas, and assisting with routine stock checks. The successful candidate will help the team maintain accurate item counts and ensure that materials can be located when needed. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who is organized, attentive, and ready to learn inventory procedures in a hands-on work environment. Responsibilities Assist with counting and checking items received at the facility. Compare delivered goods with packing lists and other available documentation. Update inventory logs with quantities, item descriptions, and storage locations. Help organize products and materials in designated storage areas. Identify items with missing labels, incorrect counts, or visible damage. Support routine inventory checks and help investigate quantity differences. Prepare basic inventory paperwork and maintain orderly records. Notify the appropriate team member when stock levels are low or discrepancies are found. Help keep shelves, storage spaces, and work areas clean and accessible. Coordinate with coworkers to ensure items are recorded and stored correctly. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. No previous experience required; training will be provided. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn inventory systems. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and handle routine tasks accurately. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities. Clear communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to stay organized while handling multiple tasks.
