Inventory Control Coordinator

Job Summary: This position is responsible for inventory at the assigned terminal. The Inventory Control Coordinator maintains accurate inventory records and supports the reliable movement of product from receiving through putaway, storage, picking, and shipping. This is a hands-on warehouse position that combines system work in Extensiv 3PL Warehouse Manager with regular physical verification on the floor. The coordinator investigates discrepancies, corrects root causes, and provides timely, fact-based reporting to the Inventory Manager. Pay Range: $20.50- $30.80 In compliance with Hawaii pay transparency expectations, the posted range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Research shortages, overages, damages, duplicate locations, incorrect case packs, and each-versus-case discrepancies. Verify that receiving, license plate or pallet identification, putaway, transfers, picking, and shipping transactions are completed accurately and on time. Maintain accurate item masters, units of measure, pack quantities, locations, lot or date information, and barcode data within authorized access levels. Review inventory adjustments, assemble supporting documentation, and obtain required approval before making or requesting corrections. Investigate short-shipped or missing items by reviewing transaction history, physical locations, pick documents, receiving records, and employee input. Maintain clear location labels, barcode tags, pallet signs, and location naming standards throughout the warehouse. Identify slow-moving, damaged, expired, obsolete, or improperly stored product and escalate findings promptly. Partner with operations, receiving, warehouse, delivery, customer-service, and customer contacts to resolve inventory issues without disrupting daily service. Train and coach warehouse employees in inventory procedures, scanning, units of measure, location discipline, and accurate transaction completion. Prepare daily and weekly inventory reports, maintain discrepancy logs, and communicate open issues, ownership, and expected resolution dates. Support physical inventories, audits, process improvements, warehouse mapping, slotting, and other operational projects assigned by the Terminal Manager. Follow safety, security, quality, customer, and company procedures and immediately report unsafe or noncompliant conditions Direct receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, staging, and loading to meet customer commitments. Ensure inventory moves are recorded accurately in Extensiv/SmartScan, including SKU, quantity, unit of measure, and location. Investigate shortages and count discrepancies, document cause, and escalate needed adjustments. Assign daily work, monitor progress, and communicate delays or expectations to Logistics and the Terminal Manager. Maintain organized, clearly labeled rack locations and pick areas.
