Inventory Control Clerk

Job Description INVENTORY CONTROL / SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK Replenishment, Stocking, Receiving, Shipping Replenishment : Filling all parts bins on all lines. The factory uses many parts such as nuts, bolts, screws, washers, etc. and those parts must be refilled periodically. Stocking : Putting away fabricated parts after manufacturing is complete. Pulling machine parts for upcoming line builds and delivering them to their proper usage locations. Receiving : New items and inventory stock need checked upon arrival and entered by packing list into our system. All Packing lists should have a Saniserv PO#. All freight and parcel shipments will be received as soon as possible. Shipping : Finished Goods will be sent via LTL or other freight method. Coordinate with the shipping supervisor and parts manager to ensure outbound product ships correctly. Other tasks: Getting water for the building and other errand running, as needed Emptying large trash bins General cleaning and organization Bin / Inventory Location maintenance Other Duties as assigned - driving our 18' box truck to pick up and drop off parts at local vendors in Indianapolis. *Please note there is occasional heavy lifting, up to 50lbs. SHIFT : 9AM - 5:30PM LUNCH : 1130AM – 1200PM BREAKS (15 MINUTES) : 2PM and 4PM Company Overview: Affinis is an Indianapolis based manufacturing company which operates under two different brand names: SaniServ (saniserv.com) - ice cream, frozen yogurt, shakes and frozen beverage machines SECOSelect (secoselect.com) - serving counters, heated cabinets and banquet service equipment Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be in charge of our dock. The qualified individual will be receiving all material and shipping all orders to our customers via LTL/TL. This position is responsible for accurately and timely counting and processing the receipts of inventory and shipping of customer orders. This position will also be responsible for the movement of inventory receipts to their proper bin locations in our production facility. Some potential daily travel in and around Indianapolis/central Indiana will be required. Qualifications: Required 3-5 years experience in shipping and receiving with knowledge and ability to process Bill of Ladings. Required ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior forklift experience preferred. Outstanding attendance record in prior position(s). Valid Indiana driver's license with no points. Able to drive an 18' box truck locally and in Indianapolis.
