The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing all tasks and responsibilities in managing our stock levels and optimize our supply chain operations. The Inventory Control Clerk will track materials and products entering and leaving our facility, conduct regular audits, and ensure digital records match physical inventory. The Inventory Control Clerk will work to prevent stockouts, reduce excess waste, and keep our daily operations running smoothly. Tasks and Responsibilities Maintaining physical inventory through sight inspection and documentation Monitoring incoming and scheduling outgoing shipments, updating inventory management systems in real time Planning, managing, and optimizing the storage of finished and unfinished goods Observing and implementing FIFO (First In, First Out) concepts Conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and performing physical inventory audits. Inspecting shipments for damaged items, process returns, and enforce loss mitigation protocols Generating inventory reports, analyze usage trends, and recommend process improvements to management Suggesting and implementing with approval process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs Leading efforts in continuous improvement initiatives Maintaining a positive relationship within the warehouse and shop floor Maintaining and complying with all company safety regulations and best practices within the shop environment All other duties as assigned by management Requirements High school diploma or GED required 1 to 3 years of prior experience in inventory management, warehousing, or retail operations Proficiency in inventory software, database systems, and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with barcode scanners and RF equipment Strong mathematical aptitude, stellar communication abilities, and exceptional attention to detail and documentation Ability to accurately identify inventory discrepancies Strong analytical skills Ability to work with others as a team Health and Safety Must comply with all safety and health standards established by Nick’s Doors and federal, state, or local requirements Ability to bend and reach, with repetitive motion Hearing, naturally or with aids Vision 20/20, with or without correction Physical demands of the job include standing, use of hands to manipulate objects, talking, hearing, looking, typing, walking, twisting, and bending Employees could be requested to lift, carry, reach above the shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch Employees could be required to lift up to 100 pounds unassisted The noise level in the work environment is usually low to medium Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
