Inventory Control Associate
New Pig CorporationInventory Control Associate New Pig Corporation is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Inventory Control Associate to help maintain accurate inventory records and support the efficient flow of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. This position performs physical inventory counts, research variances, completes inventory transactions, and partners with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, and Accounting to resolve issues. The successful candidate will combine hands-on inventory work with disciplined system use, sound judgment, and a commitment to safety, quality, and excellent internal customer service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform periodic physical inventories across production, staging, and applicable off-site locations Compare physical counts with ERP inventory records; research quantity, location, and transaction discrepancies Complete approved inventory adjustments and maintain clear supporting documentation in accordance with established controls Monitor inventory movements, transfers, receipts, issues, and scrap transactions for accuracy and timely posting Investigate root causes of inventory variances and work with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements Help maintain accurate item, location, lot, and inventory-status data, including material held at outside vendors Assist with reconciliation of inventory reports and system balances, escalating unresolved issues promptly Prepare routine inventory accuracy reports, variance summaries, and supporting schedules for management review Support process improvements involving inventory controls, labeling, scanning, and ERP workflows Adhere to New Pig’s safety, environmental, quality, and internal-control requirements Contribute to a positive work environment that supports the New Pig culture Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant postsecondary coursework is preferred One or more years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a related environment preferred Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through Ability to investigate discrepancies, analyze information, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and the ability to learn and accurately use ERP, MRP, warehouse, and scanning systems; experience with Syteline is a plus Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment Demonstrated integrity when handling inventory records, adjustments, and confidential business information Key Competencies: Inventory accuracy and control discipline Analytical thinking and problem solving Ownership and accountability Cross-functional teamwork Clear communication and customer focus Continuous improvement mindset Safety and quality awareness
