Inventory Control Analyst
Atlanta Airlines Terminal CompanyJob Title: Inventory Control Analyst Pay Grade: 6 Salary: $60,588 Department: Procurement Reports to: Procurement Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary: The Inventory Control Analyst – Audits & Reconciliation is responsible for inventory data integrity, reconciliation, reporting, audit support, and performance analysis across AATC inventory operations. The position analyzes inventory activity, usage, variances, and financial data to strengthen inventory accuracy, accountability, cost control, and operational decision-making. Work Schedule: This position supports a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, 365-day operation. The regular schedule consists of five 8-hour second shifts per week, generally from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including a 30-minute meal period . Employees must be available to work weekends and holidays based on their assigned schedule. Schedule adjustments and overtime may be required to maintain operational coverage during absences, emergencies, or other business needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains and analyzes inventory data within Hexagon and other applicable inventory, financial, and business systems. Performs inventory reconciliations, variance analysis, and discrepancy research to ensure physical inventory aligns with system records and supporting documentation. Plans and supports cycle counts, physical inventories, audits, and other inventory verification activities. Analyzes inventory usage, trends, variances, stock levels, and cost drivers to identify risks, efficiencies, and potential savings opportunities. Develops, monitors, and reports key performance indicators related to inventory accuracy, usage, spend, turnover, discrepancies, and other operational measures. Prepares reports, dashboards, analyses, and management information for leadership, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other stakeholders. Partners with Finance, Procurement, and Operations to reconcile inventory activity and support accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Identifies inventory control gaps, recurring discrepancies, and data integrity issues and recommends corrective actions or process improvements. Supports internal and external audits by preparing documentation, researching transactions, reconciling records, and responding to inventory-related inquiries. Monitors inventory transactions and system activity for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established controls and procedures. Supports continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, performance monitoring, and evaluation of inventory processes. Performs other related duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives. Safety and Operational Support: Follows established safety, security, and housekeeping requirements, including proper use of PPE, safe handling of materials and equipment, and applicable chemical and SDS procedures. Identifies and promptly reports hazards, unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and other concerns that may affect employees or operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong analytical, reconciliation, problem-solving, and data management skills. Ability to analyze large amounts of information, identify trends and discrepancies, and communicate findings clearly. Strong knowledge of inventory control principles, auditing, reporting, and data integrity. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting and analytical tools, with the ability to learn and effectively use Hexagon and other business systems. Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail. Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Operations, and other stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
