Harvest Strategy GroupPosition Summary The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for the oversight, reconciliation, tracking, and quality control of accounts placed within the company’s third-party and legal collection network. This role supports the integrity of account inventory movement between clients, collection agencies, law firms, and internal operational systems. The analyst ensures accurate account placement, recalls, reconciliation, status updates, and compliance with client and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, operational attention to detail, and experience within accounts receivable management, debt servicing, collections, or legal forwarding operations. Key Responsibilities · Monitor and manage daily account inventory movement across collection agencies, attorneys, and internal servicing platforms. · Perform reconciliations of account inventories, placements, recalls, and liquidation activity to ensure data accuracy and completeness. · Audit account transfers and placement files to validate compliance with client guidelines, contractual requirements, and internal controls. · Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, missing accounts, balance variances, duplicate placements, and status inconsistencies. · Track and report account flow metrics including placement volumes and inventory aging trends. · Maintain accurate inventory reporting for operational leadership, clients, and business partners. · Coordinate with third-party collection agencies, law firms, internal operations, legal teams, compliance, and IT departments to resolve account issues. · Validate file transmissions, account boarding processes, and work with Portfolio Reconciliation Analyst to resolve data mapping issues between servicing systems and vendor platforms. · Assist with portfolio onboarding, new client implementations, and inventory migration projects. Supports audit preparation and documentation requests related to inventory controls, placements, and account activity. · Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements to strengthen controls and reduce reconciliation exceptions. · Ensure adherence to applicable regulatory requirements, client expectations, and company policies regarding account handling and reporting. · Develop and maintain inventory tracking tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, and operational reports. · Cross trains with Inventory Control Manager · Additional duties as may be assigned. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field preferred. · 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable management, collections, debt servicing, financial operations, or inventory control. · Experience within a master servicer, collection agency, debt buyer, forwarding company, legal collections environment, or financial services industry preferred. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. · Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis. · Experience working with large account inventories and portfolio data. · Familiarity with collection systems, servicing platforms, and file transmission processes. · Knowledge of accounts receivable lifecycle management and third-party collection workflows preferred. · Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. · Strong written and verbal communication skills.
