Inventory Clerk/Backup Shipping and Receiving Clerk

RITTER FOODS, LLC Inventory Clerk / Backup Shipping & Receiving Clerk Full-time | On-site: Philadelphia, PA | Monday–Friday (Saturdays as needed) Ritter Foods, LLC is a privately-owned and operated business established in 1922. We distribute boxed beef, poultry, pork, and provisions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and manufacture pre-portioned, Philly-style beef and chicken sandwich steaks for foodservice customers under our own and private-label brands. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Inventory Clerk who can also provide backup support for our Shipping and Receiving team. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this hands-on position combines inventory control, dock operations, shipping coordination, and administrative support in a fast-paced food manufacturing and distribution environment. Key Responsibilities · Maintain inventory accuracy by scanning inbound and outbound products using RF equipment. · Verify product quantities, track movements, and perform cycle counts and physical inventory counts in refrigerated and frozen areas. · Coordinate trailer shipments of manufactured products, including pickup and delivery appointments, load sheets, manifests, inventory scans, and box-count verification. · Assist with picking customer orders and receiving inbound deliveries. · Provide backup shipping and receiving coverage, including preparing and issuing customer invoices, assisting walk-up customers, answering calls, and taking orders as needed. · Collect and document cash receipts and prepare invoices for cash customers. · Entering data and printing labels for steak orders. · Support Sales staff and perform other assigned duties. Qualifications & Work Environment · Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; data-entry and RF scanner experience required. · Ability to manage multiple priorities while working with incoming and outgoing drivers and internal teams. · Experience operating a ride-on pallet jack and/or stand-up reach truck a plus. · Comfortable working primarily on a loading dock in cold temperatures, with occasional freezer inventory duties. Schedule, Compensation & Benefits · Schedule: Monday–Friday; anticipated start time between 12:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. (to be confirmed).
