CardsHQ, LLCInventory Associate Department: Inventory Operations Reports To: Inventory/Shipping Manager / Inventory Supervisor Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Location: CardsHQ – Detroit, MI Position Summary The Inventory Associate supports the accurate receipt, organization, tracking, movement, counting, and control of merchandise throughout the CardsHQ operation. This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring merchandise moves correctly between receiving, storage, the sales floor, ecommerce fulfillment, shipping, events, and other CardsHQ operations. The successful Inventory Associate is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with inventory systems and physical merchandise. Key Responsibilities Receive, scan, verify, label, and organize incoming merchandise. Compare received merchandise against purchase orders, transfers, or other receiving documentation. Accurately record inventory movement within designated systems. Assign and maintain proper inventory locations. Conduct cycle counts, physical inventories, spot checks, and inventory audits. Research and report inventory discrepancies. Identify damaged, missing, mislabeled, or incorrectly located merchandise. Assist with inventory adjustments following established approval procedures. Pick and stage inventory for sales-floor replenishment, ecommerce orders, transfers, events, or other operational needs. Support inventory transfers between CardsHQ locations and business channels. Maintain organized and secure inventory-storage areas. Follow established controls for high-value cards, collectibles, sealed products, and other merchandise. Assist with receiving and inventory reconciliation. Work closely with Stocking, Retail, Buying, Shipping, and Ecommerce teams to maintain accurate product flow. Support shipping and fulfillment activities when needed, including picking, verification, staging, and order preparation. Follow loss-prevention, security, safety, and inventory-control procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous inventory, warehouse, receiving, fulfillment, retail operations, or related experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to learn inventory-management, scanning, and product-tracking systems. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow established inventory controls and procedures. Experience with cycle counting, receiving, inventory reconciliation, or fulfillment is a plus. Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
