Inventory Associate

Summary Under the direction of the Production Manager, this position is responsible for (a) moving and transporting raw materials/parts to sustain constant production and (b) conveyance of finished goods throughout the plant. Will contribute to inventory management by (a) receiving standard deliveries and ensuring accuracy, (b) performing inventory counts and reconciling inventory with our accounting system, and (c) ensuring that the supplies, work-in-process, and raw goods inventory are stored in their proper place. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Maintain a safe and clean work environment · Loads/unloads trucks · Counts incoming and outgoing material · Sort and place materials and/or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards · Understands production and scheduling, and conveys material throughout the plant as necessary · Transports finished goods inventory items to secondary (shipping) facility. · Ensures paperwork and system tasks are completed and meet policies and standards · Communicates through various channels (telephone and email) with inside and outside parties · Light manufacturing (production line, assembly, and packaging) as needed · Perform other related duties as requested by management Qualifications: · Must be at least 18 years old · Valid driver’s license, safe/good driving record · Forklift operation experience required · High School diploma or equivalent preferred · 2 years of warehouse experience preferred · Proficient with computer systems and Microsoft Office · Good communication, organizational, time management skills; attention to detail · Must be able to read, write and speak in English · Must have reliable transportation to work · Excellent attendance: capable of working overtime and weekends as needed Physical Requirements: · Occasionally lift, push, and pull up to seventy (70) pounds or more · Must be able to stand, lift and bend for up to ten (10) hours per day · Willing and able to work in a partially air-conditioned warehouse environment A preemployment drug screen and background check is required.
