When a manager needs equipment for a meeting or a department is running low on supplies, they should be able to find out what is available and where it is kept. Our Kansas City office is hiring an Inventory Associate to keep stock organized, records accurate, and colleagues informed. Immediate start available. You’ll look after the everyday items that support work across the business, including office supplies, printed materials, work devices and accessories, and other shared equipment. This is a practical role that combines receiving and checking items, keeping storage areas in order, updating inventory records, and reporting what the team needs to know. Know what we have and where to find it Receive deliveries and check quantities and item details against the accompanying paperwork. Record new stock in the inventory system and assign clear storage locations. Organize shelves, cabinets, and storage areas so items are easy to locate and count. Track equipment or materials issued to different departments and update records when items are returned. Carry out regular stock counts and investigate differences between physical stock and system records. Check items for damage, missing parts, or incorrect deliveries and report issues promptly. Flag low stock levels and help prepare information needed for reorders. Keep basic inventory documents, delivery notes, and count sheets accurate and up to date. Turn stock information into useful updates You’ll work with managers and colleagues across departments, so communication is as important as accurate counting. You will: Answer questions about whether an item is available and where it is stored. Let managers know when requested stock has arrived or an item cannot be located. Share count results, shortages, damaged items, and other inventory discrepancies with your supervisor. Prepare straightforward stock reports that show what is on hand and what needs attention. Coordinate with colleagues when equipment or supplies need to be moved between teams. Suggest practical changes when a storage layout or record-keeping step could work better. You’ll suit this role if you like having things in order, notice when details do not match, and follow through until an issue is resolved. You should be comfortable using a computer to update records and able to communicate clearly in person and by email. Previous inventory experience is helpful, but it is not required; a degree is not required either. We have immediate availability for someone ready to start soon. We can also accommodate up to four weeks’ notice for the right candidate. If you would take pride in helping every department find what it needs and trust the stock information it receives, apply for the Inventory Associate role with your current resume. Pay: Up to $22.50 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee assistance program Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Work Location: In person
