Inventory Analyst
ConfidentialPosition Summary: The Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting effective inventory management across the manufacturing operation. This position analyzes inventory transactions, coordinates cycle counts and physical inventory activities, investigates discrepancies, and recommends corrective actions to improve inventory controls. The primary objective of this role is to improve inventory accuracy, strengthen inventory-control processes, and ensure the reliable availability of materials needed to support production schedules and customer requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor inventory balances and transactions in SAP, including receipts, production consumption, backflushes, transfers, scrap, shipments, and inventory adjustments. Coordinate cycle counts and support annual physical inventory activities, including count preparation, execution, recounts, reconciliation, and reporting. Compare physical inventory against system quantities, investigate discrepancies, document root causes, and coordinate corrective actions with the appropriate departments. Analyze SAP transaction history, production records, Bills of Materials, receiving and shipping documentation, and warehouse movements to identify inventorycontrol issues. Partner with Production Control, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Information Technology to resolve inventory discrepancies and prevent recurrence. Review inventory locations, batches, stock status, units of measure, material identification, and master data to ensure that system information reflects actual physical conditions. Monitor excess, obsolete, slowmoving, nodemand, damaged, negative, and endofproduction inventory, and support appropriate disposition plans. Review Bills of Materials and material master data to identify errors or conditions affecting inventory accuracy, production consumption, cycle counting, and MRP results. Support inventoryimpact reviews associated with engineering changes, product launches, supplier changes, packaging changes, and program phaseouts. Develop and maintain inventory reports and Power BI dashboards, including inventory accuracy, cycle count completion, inventory variance, inventory loss, aging inventory, and corrective action status. Identify recurring discrepancies, transaction weaknesses, and processimprovement opportunities related to inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse controls. Maintain required inventory documentation and support internal, customer, financial, and physical inventory audits. Follow all company policies, safety requirements, inventorycontrol procedures, and applicable quality system standards. OTHER REASONABLE DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. About Amaneos US, Inc.
