The Role The Inventory Analyst is responsible for developing and executing strategies that optimize inventory levels across warehouses by minimizing excess stock and financial risk. This role plays a critical part in protecting company profitability by proactively managing discontinued items, initiating scrap processes, and maintaining an accurate and manageable inventory reserve. Through collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, and Product teams, the Inventory Analysist helps reduce carrying costs, improve cash flow, and mitigate potential inventory write-offs. By aligning inventory strategies with business objectives, this role ensures that inventory decisions contribute to overall financial health and operational efficiency. Strong candidate identified. Responsibilities Inventory Monitoring and Analysis Track and analyze inventory levels across multiple warehouse locations to identify excess, obsolete, unallocated and slow-moving stock. Partner with Finance to track and report on liquidation inventory progress, recovery rates, margin and financial impacts. Develop dashboards to monitor liquidation performance and identify trends. Inventory Reserve Management Partner with Finance and Procurement teams to assess inventory aging, demand trends, and Liquidation strategies to align on current and future reserve implications. Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to conduct annual review of reserve categorizations and rates and ensure compliance with company policies. Manage Inventory Scrap, Transformation and Disposal Coordination Identify inventory eligible for scrap or write-off and initiate proper disposal processes. Work with operations and warehouse teams to ensure timely execution of scrap activities. Partner with Procurement and Quality to assess product disposition (transformation, builds, factory returns, etc) Partner with Procurement team to support management of product transitions. Manage Liquidation Assortment Identify and track inventory assortment for Liquidation channel including opportunities to maximize inventory recovery value. Work with Finance on pricing and margin strategies by line of business and liquidation events Collaboration and Communication Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Warehouse teams to align on inventory strategies regarding the management of liquidation inventory, communicating inventory concerns, risk factors, and reserve implications. Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to align liquidation efforts with broader business objectives. Communicate liquidation plans, timelines, and outcomes to key stakeholders. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
