In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert on supply chain, inventory management, and data analytics, collaborating closely with Target’s merchandising teams, our internal Sales & Account Managers, and vendor teams to drive impactful results.Key ResponsibilitiesSynthesize sales, inventory, and demand data to deliver actionable insights that support key business initiatives and long-term growth strategiesProactively identify sales opportunities, inventory risks, and demand imbalances; develop and recommend data-driven solutions to optimize in-stock, turns, and profitabilityLead forecasting and management of promotional spend, ensuring vendors maximize sales impact while remaining aligned to budget and ROI expectationsPartner cross-functionally to inform promotional planning, assortment decisions, and inventory strategies through disciplined analysis and scenario modelingMonitor performance against forecasts and plans, quickly identifying variances and recommending corrective actionsServe as a trusted advisor to vendors and retailer partners by translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendationsEnsure high levels of vendor satisfaction by delivering consistent, value-added insights, strong execution, and reliable analytical supportBuild and maintain strong relationships with retailer contacts, leveraging available tools and resources to establish a reputation for excellent service and positive referralsQualifications3+ years of relevant retail experience, including forecasting and data analytics required; Target experience a plusStrong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and interpret data from multiple sourcesProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with Power BI and Partners Online a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to and influence internal and external stakeholdersStrong relationship-building abilities with a customer-focused approachExceptional organizational and project management skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.This is a hybrid position based in Minneapolis, MN, requiring employees to be present in the office 3 days per week with flexibility to work remotely on other days.
