Key Responsibilities
• Oversee inventory accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and inventory valuation.
• Analyze large data sets, identify discrepancies, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support inventory accounting using the Retail Method of Accounting (RMA), including markdowns, shrink, and cost analysis.
• Manage reconciliations, general ledger accuracy, and month-end close activities.
• Partner cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Drive automation, system enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Take ownership of complex issues and develop solutions with minimal direction.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA a big plus
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong inventory accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, and analytical skills.
• Retail inventory accounting and RMA experience preferred.
• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working independently.
