International Supply Chain Manager

International Supply Chain Manager (Dole Fresh Fruit Company; Charlotte, NC): Manage existing North America (NA) Product Distribution team to execute and implement strategic company initiatives for costs, quality, and inventory management. Review weekly pre-orders with Regional Product Management team to reduce handling costs and protect cold chain integrity. Develop and train existing Product Distribution Specialist to streamline end to end pre-order process focusing upon reduced handling, cold chain integrity, and improved vessel optimization. Guide NA terminals and Regional Product Team to improve vessel stowage and reduce fruit ages and handling in NA ports. Collaborate with Sr. Director of Quality & Distribution to improve and implement processes to align NA market demands and Latin American supply curves on all commercial items. Create and format Power BI analysis tools to identify opportunity gaps in growing regions. Work with NA sales team to identify and develop new products. Conduct financial analysis and profitability studies to evaluate which NA markets and ports of call would yield best margin for Central and South American products. Orchestrate weekly calls with NA Quality and Latin American Quality managers to make recommendations to Sr. Director Quality & Distribution regarding NA inventory management (recommendations include: anticipated green life by country or origin, maximum capacity for carryover predicated upon current growing conditions, and appropriate sourcing mix given existing quality claims.) Evaluate efficiency and cost effectiveness of company’s third-party shipping business as compared to full maximization of existing NA fleet. Assess impact to existing customer base during peak seasons and work with contacts in shipping and logistics to identify and vet alternate ports of call. Manage, direct and implement the next step in company ERP pre-order process to ensure accuracy, reduce administrative costs, provide more concise reporting metrics, and improve transparency between NA and Latin American teams. With knowledge of production timelines and distribution channels, develop methodology to improve management of packaging materials to limit production costs while maintaining required inventory levels to meet NA customer requirements. Position supervises one (1) Product Distribution Analyst. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Management, Finance, or related field, plus 2 year(s) of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Must Have Experience With The Following Salesforce (CRM & Preorder Application); Power BI (Data Analytics & Visualization); Microsoft Dynamics365 (D365); MuleSoft / RPA (Robotic Process Automation); using AI-driven solutions to optimize forecasting, allocation, and cost control within the North American supply chain; volume forecasting and demand planning; leading multi-phase system development initiatives; documenting processes and operational workflows and developing continuity plans for critical operations; working with banana and tropical fruit supply chains; and working with port operations, vessel logistics, packing plant capacity, and regional sourcing.
