Apres NailAprés Nail has innovated the nail market as the creator of Gel-X. Our mission is to improve nail industry standards and the lives of nail artists by providing innovative products that help both them and their services thrive. Our nails are seen everywhere, from the Met Gala to the Oscars to your local nail salon. The Gel-X revolution is real, and we're looking for our next great team member! Role summary You will get our products across borders on time, compliant and at the right cost. You will prepare every export document, choose carriers, clear customs issues and keep Account Managers and customers informed. You will also support our marketplace expansion. That means solving flammable storage limits for Amazon Canada and helping launch Amazon Australia through GST registration and AICIS chemical compliance. Many of our gels, primers, adhesives and top coats are regulated or dangerous goods, so accuracy matters on every shipment. Key responsibilities Pre-shipment setup and trade compliance Apply the Incoterms (DDP, DAP, EXW, FOB) set by the Account Manager for each customer shipment. Maintain the HS code master by SKU and classify new products as they launch. Confirm country of origin and issue origin documents: CUSMA (Canada), EUR.1 or statement of origin (EU/UK), stamped certificates of origin where required. Maintain customer customs profiles: EORI numbers, Importer of Record arrangements (Japan), VAT/GST registrations and customs broker assignments. Maintain and distribute SDS, ingredient lists and EU/CLP labeling documents. Monitor restricted and prohibited product rules by country, including HEMA restrictions, acetone air-freight limits and per-package quantity caps. Quoting and booking Compare quotes across DHL, FedEx, freight forwarders and customer freight accounts; choose service level by cost and transit time. Manage carrier accounts, negotiate rates and run annual rate reviews. Decide cargo insurance coverage for each shipment. Handle ocean freight end to end: booking, cutoffs, FCL vs. LCL decisions, container loading plans and telex release. Keep a carrier cutoff and international holiday calendar (Lunar New Year, Golden Week, Chuseok, EU August shutdown). Documentation Prepare commercial invoices, packing lists and declared values that match the sales order and pro forma invoice exactly. Prepare country-specific documents, such as the Japan Importer of Record package and Canada CUSMA certification. Issue air waybills, bills of lading and destination-compliant labels and markings. File AES/EEI for qualifying U.S. export shipments. Execution and coordination Work with the warehouse DG specialist on compliant packing and pickups. Maintain SKU and carton dimension and weight data that drives dimensional-weight costs. Act as the shipping point of contact for Account Managers and customers. Track every shipment and alert Account Managers and customers to delays before they ask. Exception handling Resolve customs holds and answer broker and customs inquiries with supporting documents. File carrier damage and loss claims and manage cargo insurance claims. Manage delivery exceptions, address corrections and proof of delivery. Coordinate warranty replacements, returns, re-exports and duty drawback. International marketplace support (Amazon Canada and Australia) Amazon Canada: work to expand our flammable storage allocation (currently 0.08 cubic meters) so top-selling flammable SKUs can be listed and replenished at scale. Amazon Australia: coordinate with TecEx, tax advisors and 3PL partners on GST registration, ABN requirements and import setup. Support the AICIS assessment for gels, primers, adhesives and top coats, and assemble import documents (ingredients, SDS). Evaluate alternative 3PL and import partners on process, cost, timeline and compliance risk. Track compliance gaps and blockers for each new market and report status to the International team.
