Key Responsibilities Pipe Stress Analysis and Flexibility Design Independently perform pipe stress and piping flexibility analyses using CAESAR II. Develop analytical models, load cases, boundary conditions, design assumptions, and acceptance criteria. Evaluate code stresses, thermal expansion, sustained and occasional loads, equipment nozzle loads, support loads, displacements, and piping flexibility. Determine support, restraint, guide, anchor, and expansion requirements based on analysis results. Assess existing piping systems and the impact of routing changes, equipment connections, new loads, and revised operating conditions. Develop practical solutions to stress and flexibility issues through adjustments to piping routes, supports, restraints, and equipment interfaces. Collaborate with piping designers and structural engineers to incorporate analysis requirements into layouts and support designs. Review piping layouts and 3D models for flexibility, supportability, constructability, and potential stress concerns. Review and check stress analyses completed by junior engineers, providing guidance to develop their technical capabilities. Prepare and review stress analysis calculations, reports, design criteria, and supporting documentation. Apply applicable piping codes and standards, including ASME B31.1 and ASME B31.3. Pipe Engineering and Project Execution Independently execute piping engineering projects and defined scopes within larger multidisciplinary projects. Perform pipe sizing, pressure drop calculations, hydraulic analyses, and system evaluations. Develop and review piping design criteria, process flow sheets, P&IDs, line lists, specifications, layouts, and related engineering deliverables. Evaluate and select piping materials, valves, fittings, specialty items, and associated equipment.Perform and check calculations for the sizing and selection of pumps, heat exchangers, and pressure control devices. Provide technical direction to designers and review drawings and models for accuracy, constructability, maintainability, and compliance with the project design basis. Coordinate piping designs with process, mechanical, structural, electrical, civil, and other engineering disciplines. Conduct site investigations, field measurements, and assessments of existing industrial piping systems. Provide construction support, respond to technical questions, review vendor information, and participate in general reviews and field inspections. Act as Engineer of Record for assigned piping projects and scopes, including signing and sealing engineering documents as required. Review and approve calculations, specifications, drawings, equipment selections, and reports within assigned responsibility. Identify design inconsistencies, recommend solutions, and coordinate corrective action with Project Managers. Support the development of project scopes, engineering estimates, budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and deliverable requirements. Monitor assigned work against scope, budget, schedule, and quality requirements, and communicat…
