Now Hiring: Intermediate Estimator Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico Job Type: Full-time, hourly (nonexempt) Pay: $25.00 per hour | Approximately $52,000 annually at 40 hours/week, before overtime and commissions Additional compensation: 2% quarterly commission on eligible actual gross profit from awarded RFP projects About the Position NM Abatement LLC seeks a detail-oriented Intermediate Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive proposals for asbestos abatement, mold remediation, lead remediation, and related environmental services across residential, commercial, and government projects. Key Responsibilities Personally prepare and submit a minimum of 10 qualified RFPs/proposals per month . Review bid documents, plans, specifications, and scopes of work; conduct site visits and measurements as needed. Estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, transportation, and disposal costs while meeting approved profit margins. Track bids and personally follow up on submissions, where procurement rules permit, to pursue contract awards. Identify qualified bidding opportunities and maintain accurate proposals, follow-up, and award records. Provide weekly estimating activity reports and coordinate with management and field supervisors. What Counts as a Qualified Proposal? A qualified proposal is a complete, accurately priced proposal submitted to a legitimate customer or solicitation . Incomplete estimates, duplicate submissions, and unsubmitted preliminary pricing do not count toward the 10-proposal monthly minimum. Performance expectations account for project complexity and available qualified opportunities. Qualifications Approximately 2 or more years of construction estimating experience is preferred. Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and RFP documents. Proficiency with Excel, Word, and estimating tools; strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Environmental remediation, demolition, and government bidding experience preferred. Valid driver’s license and ability to conduct site visits as required. Compensation and Commission Hourly base rate: $25.00; expected 40-hour workweek, Monday–Friday. Overtime paid as required by law. Quarterly commission: 2% of actual gross profit on eligible RFP projects the estimator personally submits, follows up on, and successfully obtains an award for NM Abatement LLC. Actual gross profit is based on collected project revenue less applicable direct project costs, subject to the written commission plan and project reconciliation. Commission is calculated quarterly and paid under the company’s written commission policy; eligibility and timing are governed by that policy.
