JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER STUDIO JYO www.studiojyo.com STUDIO JYO is a growing, high-end residential interior architecture and interior design firm focused on creating modern, thoughtful, and highly detailed interiors. We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team as a full-time member of our design studio. This position is ideal for an emerging designer who has a strong design sensibility, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in residential interiors. The Junior Designer will work closely with the Principal and project teams throughout all phases of design, from concept development and presentations through documentation, sourcing, procurement, and installation. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with the development of interior design concepts, palettes, materials, and furnishings. Support project teams through all phases of residential interior design projects. Prepare presentation materials, finish schedules, furniture plans, elevations, and other design documents. Assist with CAD drawings and construction documentation. Research and source furniture, lighting, plumbing fixtures, finishes, accessories, and decorative objects. Prepare and maintain material libraries, samples, finish boards, and presentation materials. Assist with furniture and finish specifications, pricing, proposals, and procurement. Communicate with vendors and showrooms to obtain product information, samples, pricing, lead times, and availability. Assist with tracking orders, deliveries, and project-related information. Participate in client meetings, presentations, site visits, and installations as needed. Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and other consultants. Maintain accurate project files and follow STUDIO JYO's office standards and organizational systems. Manage assigned tasks and deadlines while communicating proactively with the project team. Contribute thoughtful design ideas and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow within the studio. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field. Approximately 3–4 years of professional interior design experience , preferably in high-end residential design. Strong design sensibility and an appreciation for modern, refined, and highly detailed interiors. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite . Experience with SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modeling software is a plus. Strong visual presentation and graphic communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced studio environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional, collaborative, and positive attitude. Ability to take direction while also demonstrating initiative and independent problem-solving. Genuine interest in materials, furniture, architecture, and the details that make a space feel considered and cohesive. You have a strong eye for proportion, color, materiality, and composition, and you are equally comfortable developing creative ideas and handling the detailed work required to execute them.
