Interim Logistics Representative / Dispatch Specialist (Temporary, Full-Time, Immediate Start) Assignment: Immediate start through November 24, 2026 (approximately 8 weeks) Want hands-on logistics experience in a fast-paced environment? An established third-party logistics (3PL) company is looking for a dependable, quick-learning Dispatch Specialist to join our team on an interim basis. We need someone who can step in right away and keep freight moving through our busy season. We have worked with our customers and carriers for over 25 years. We follow a "Best Practices" philosophy, with honesty, safety, and financial stability as the foundation of how we operate. About the Role In this temporary role, you'll be a key point of contact for our carriers. You will support the sales and operations teams by making sure every assigned load is completed to our quality standards in our Transportation Management System (TMS). You'll monitor freight on the road in real time through check calls, and you'll contact drivers and dispatchers directly to collect the paperwork needed to close out each shipment. You'll get hands-on training so you can contribute quickly. Major Responsibilities Communicate with drivers to confirm pickup and delivery of shipments Track shipments proactively so deadlines are met Keep shipment records accurate and up to date in our TMS Give drivers delivery instructions based on customer appointment schedules Support customers and internal teams with timely, professional communication Qualifications Available to start immediately and commit through November 24, 2026 1–2 years of experience in transportation, warehouse, dispatch, or distribution preferred but not required Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment Able to work well on a team while also delivering results independently Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Flexible, with strong prioritization skills and the ability to shift focus quickly Excellent communication and organizational skills Quick learner who can get up to speed fast Compensation: $24 per hour This is a temporary assignment with a defined end date.
