We are currently looking for a full-time Operations Manager to oversee the brokerage operations. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the brokerage and its operations, ensuring the solid operational and financial health of the business, striving to meet all key performance metrics.
So, What Will You Spend Your Days Doing?
- Oversee all aspects of brokerage operations, ensuring alignment with Collectivfide’s strategic goals.
- Develop and execute the brokerage’s strategic plan, policies, and procedures.
- Lead and manage 11 direct reports, including team leads, producers, and administrative staff.
- Provide coaching, feedback, performance management, and mentorship to staff and leaders.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics (growth, retention, loss ratios, initiatives).
- Contribute to the annual budget and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to Collectivfide.
- Oversee staffing, including recruitment, onboarding, and collaboration with HR on policies and hiring.
- Conduct and oversee file audits (new business, endorsements, renewals) with team leads.
- Foster employee engagement, morale, and a positive workplace culture.
- Manage client complaint escalations and ensure service excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with company partners and key stakeholders.
- Represent the brokerage at industry events and stay informed on market/industry trends.
- Drive automation, technology adoption, and process improvements across the brokerage.
Key Qualifications
- Must have your RIBO license. Level 3 license is preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Must have experience working in a P & C brokerage in an operation leadership capacity, minimum 7 years
- CIP, CAIB, FCIP designations, an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills required
- Ability to multi task
- Working knowledge of TAM and Epic, an asset
- Ability to prioritize fluctuating duties regularly
- Some after hours work and some travel will be expected
