ormance to purchase order, engineering drawings, specification and quality requirements. Review and verifies vendor supplied documentation. Maintains electronic receiving inspection history files and documents non-conformances. Requests assistance as required from other departments to ensure adequate verification of requirements.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Determines the method of inspection, set-up and required tools to adequately verify each requirement or feature
· Performs inspections as required by purchase orders, work orders, engineering drawings, specifications, standards, sketches and other documents
· Inspects and verifies geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) characteristics using appropriate inspection methods, equipment, and measurement techniques in accordance with engineering drawings and applicable standards
· Supports and maintains regular communication with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality
· Identifies areas for new training and process improvement
· Responsible for meeting quality assurance standards per ISO 9001 and Six Sigma
· Ensures the proper personal protective equipment is used when required and conducts safety checks
· Performs all work in an ESD safe manner
· Maintains Electronic Records of all inspection outcomes
· Ensures cleaning and 5S efforts are sustained
· Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Quality Assurance, Engineering or similar discipline experience preferred
· High School Diploma
PREFERRED SKILLS
· Proficiency in using inspection tools and technologies including but not limited to; thread gages, pin gages, calipers, micrometers and multimeters.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office and understand computer programs such as Epicor ERP System
