This position helps homeowners, contractors, farmers, remodelers, and businesses find the products and solutions they need to complete projects successfully. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in helping customers select products, prepare quotations, process orders, coordinate deliveries, and maintain long-term customer relationships. Essential Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service to walk-in, phone, and email customers. Develop and maintain positive relationships with homeowners, contractors, farmers, and commercial customers. Assist customers with product selection and recommend solutions to meet project needs. Prepare estimates, quotations, and sales orders accurately and efficiently. Coordinate customer orders, deliveries, returns, and special-order products. Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, availability, and delivery schedules. Support contractor and project sales through material recommendations and problem-solving. Work closely with yard, delivery, purchasing, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records, follow-up activities, and customer communications. Assist with merchandising, inventory maintenance, product displays, and store appearance. Operate point-of-sale and other business software systems. Preferred Qualifications Entry-Level Candidates Customer service, retail, agriculture, construction, or building materials experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to learn product knowledge and business software systems. Experienced Candidates Previous lumberyard, building materials, construction, contractor sales, estimating, or project management experience. Knowledge of residential construction practices. Experience reading plans, performing takeoffs, and preparing material estimates preferred. Ability to independently manage contractor and project accounts. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Basic math and measurement skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with computers and business software. Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise and materials as needed.
