Inside Sales/Quote Specialist
AROW Global CorpINSIDE SALES/QUOTE SPECIALIST Summary Reporting to the Inside Sales / Quote Supervisor, the Inside Sales / Quote Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting quotes and bids per customer requests as well as leading efforts in collecting and analyzing data to estimate the lead time, non-recurring costs, material costs, and labor costs required to make company products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Maintain positive and professional relationships with contacts (customers, suppliers, internal). Analyze various documents to complete a quote/bid while utilizing standard costing models and forms. Review customer Request for Quote (RFQ) documents and interpret and extract the relevant information to produce a quote/bid. In consultation with the Inside Sales / Quote Supervisor, adjust quotes and bids in consideration of strategic pricing factors not represented in the standard cost models. Provide technical support on sales calls, customer visits, and for problem-solving. Update and maintain customer master price lists as required. Maintain quote log to ensure it is updated with current customer bid and quote information. Collaborate with Purchasing Department to develop new and maintain current material prices for use in bidding efforts. Provide regulatory and compliance documents as required for specific customers. Notarize and distribute as required. Maintain and adjust bid models to ensure current prices are provided to customers as needed. Generate bid models for new customers as required from existing models. Develop new methodologies to aid in faster, more accurate, and well-communicated bids. Advise leadership team of irregular findings related to costing and pricing. Provide support in pricing for new product development. Collaborate with Engineering and Purchasing departments to identify the best materials for bidding jobs. As part of the AROW Global team you will need to understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them. Qualifications Technical college or university degree. Specific experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Previous quoting, estimating, and/or job cost analysis experience is desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Experience in reading production drawings, specifications and bill of materials. Basic understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software; knowledge of IFS is preferred. Strong customer service background to interpret and confirm orders.
