Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Innkeeper to join our team. This role is integral to providing our guests with a seamless and luxurious experience. The Assistant Innkeeper will be responsible for a variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the inn and the utmost comfort of our guests. Duties Luxurious Breakfast Preparation: Prepare and serve exquisite, high-quality breakfasts for our guests daily. This includes menu planning, sourcing fresh ingredients, cooking, baking, and presenting dishes to a fine dining standard. Mansion Cleanliness and Upkeep: Maintain the pristine condition of the entire mansion, including guest rooms, common areas, and potentially outdoor spaces, through regular cleaning and tidying. Housekeeping After Check-Outs: Perform thorough and detailed housekeeping duties after guests depart, ensuring each room is immaculate and welcoming for the next arrivals. This includes cleaning, sanitizing, making beds with fresh linens, and restocking amenities. Laundry and Ironing: Manage all laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens, towels, and other items as needed. Ensure a consistent supply of fresh and neatly presented linens. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of breakfast supplies, cleaning products, linens, and guest amenities. Assist with ordering and restocking as necessary. Assisting with Reservations: Aid the Innkeeper with managing reservations, responding to booking inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. Light Maintenance and Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues or repairs needed within the property to the Innkeeper. Perform basic maintenance tasks as capable. Maintaining Common Areas: Ensure common areas such as living rooms, dining rooms, and hallways are always presentable, organized, and inviting. Adherence to Standards: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest service at all times. Requirements Proven experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a hotel, bed and breakfast, or private estate. Strong preference for prior experience in fine dining, demonstrating the ability to prepare and present high-quality breakfast dishes. Exceptional attention to detail and a meticulous approach to cleanliness. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs. Physical stamina to perform cleaning, laundry, and other physical tasks. Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by guest schedules. A passion for hospitality and creating a positive guest experience. Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 per week Work Location: In person
