Information Technology Systems Integrator II
Elite Metal Finishing LLCJob Purpose Elite Metal Finishing is investing in the next generation of operational intelligence. We are seeking a skilled Systems Integrator to sit at the intersection of our manufacturing operations, enterprise ERP platform, and emerging AI capabilities. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining integrations that connect our Epicor ERP instance to internal systems, external data sources, and AI-powered tooling — enabling smarter decisions across production, quality, procurement, and finance. You will work closely with department leaders, process owners, and the IT team to translate business problems into durable technical solutions — from LLM-powered assistants to real-time data pipelines and analytics dashboards. This role ensures compliance with DFARS, ITAR, NIST 800-171, and CMMC Level 2 requirements while supporting business-critical operations. Duties and Responsibilities AI & Large Language Model (LLM) Integration Design, build, and maintain AI/LLM-powered tools tailored to Elite Metal Finishing's workflows — including internal knowledge assistants, document summarization, and process automation agents Connect LLMs (e.g., Claude, GPT, or open-source models) to internal data sources including Epicor ERP, job costing records, customer history, and quality control data Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines that allow AI models to reason over live or near-live company data Evaluate and recommend AI model selection, hosting options (API vs. on-prem), and prompt engineering strategies appropriate for industrial and manufacturing contexts ·Implement guardrails, access controls, and audit logging for AI tools deployed to internal users. Epicor ERP Integration & Data Connectivity Serve as the primary technical owner of integrations between Epicor and external systems including customer portals, supplier platforms, shipping carriers, and financial tools Build and maintain API connections, BAQ (Business Activity Query) exports, and ETL pipelines between Epicor and third-party platforms Integrate external data sources — such as material certifications, RFQ platforms, or quality management systems — into Epicor workflows with appropriate validation and error handling Monitor integration health, troubleshoot failures, and maintain documentation for all connected systems Collaborate with Epicor functional users to surface data and automation opportunities within the ERP Internal IT Integrations & Process Automation Identify and eliminate manual data handoffs between departments by designing automated workflows (e.g., Power Automate, custom scripts, middleware platforms) Support internal system integrations across HR, production scheduling, shop floor, and customer service functions Build and maintain internal APIs or microservices that act as integration middleware between disparate systems Document integration architecture, data flows, and dependencies to ensure maintainability and business continuity Analytics & Reporting Design and deliver operational dashboards and reports that surface KPIs from Epicor and connected systems (e.g., on-time delivery, job costing variance, throughput, scrap rate) Build data models and pipelines to support ad hoc analysis by department managers and leadership Partner with operations and finance teams to define metrics, data definitions, and reporting cadences Implement and maintain a light data warehouse or reporting layer (e.g., SQL Server, Power BI, or similar) to consolidate data from multiple sources Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3–6 years of experience in systems integration, enterprise application development, or a related technical role Hands-on experience with ERP systems — Epicor experience strongly preferred; similar platforms (SAP, Infor, NetSuite) considered Demonstrated experience building or integrating with AI/…
