About the Role: The Plant Maintenance Technician B is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the company’s equipment, building and grounds in a manner that minimizes interruptions in operations and assures employee safety. This position is also responsible for developing programs to extend equipment life and reliability and to assure safe operations at every level. This position reports to the Plant Maintenance Technician B. Initiates requisition for maintenance and repair supplies in sufficient quantity to meet needs of production, building maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies Perform building and equipment repairs throughout the building according to submitted work orders Develop and maintain programs through preventative maintenance that extend equipment and building life and reliability as well as assure safe operations at every level Uses the Circular Services Preventive Maintenance System to manage the periodic maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds of the facility Inspects plant machinery and equipment. Repairs, maintains, and services all equipment in accordance with the facility Standard Operating Procedures, equipment maintenance manuals, and Circular Services policies and training. Must also be knowledgeable to handle non-routine repairs or issues that may arise and require sound, immediate judgment without direct supervision. Implements Circular Services safety policies and practices for all work activities, and ensures these practices are followed by other Circular Services staff, vendors, contractors, and visitors entering the facility. Completes all mandatory training activities for both safety and operational training as assigned by supervisor. Helps procure plant supplies and replacement equipment in an efficient manner by identifying needs in advance, helping to manage vendors, and working within Circular Services guidelines as well as being responsible for the annual budget. Screening and selection of building maintenance materials and supplies Research pricing of equipment and supplies to identify superior pricing Prioritizes work orders for completion in a systematic and efficient manner Assists work orders for outside contractors Conducts routine testing of equipment and inspection of the warehouse Cross-trains in other areas of the business and assists in those areas as needed. Minimum Job Qualifications: High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment Able to follow instructions for operating equipment and record keeping Able to execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner Able to maintain a clean & safe environment Conveyor and/or previous maintenance, Industrial facilities and warehouse experience is a plus. Knowledge of basic hand and power tools required; having your own tools is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
